3 Responses » Having spent much of my early golfing career at Kirkistown Castle, Golf Royalty knew what to expect – a great links half located only half an hour outside of Belfast. It is most defiantly one of the best Par 69 courses you are likely to encounter.
It was a fine Easter afternoon when I ventured to Shandon Park for Golf Royalty’s first course review of 2009. The club is widely regarded as one of the great city based parklands courses in Ireland. Situated in the leafy suburbs of East Belfast, Shandon Park did not disappoint; a true gem that is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.
At Augusta a 19-year-old golfer can be forgiven for surmising that his size nines are inextricably rooted in the big-time when Tiger Woods says that perhaps it would be advisable if they desisted from playing a planned practice round together at The Masters because he “didn’t want to deal with all the extra attention”.
